About Kane County Assistance Program (KCAP)
Kane County Assistance Program (KCAP) was created in February, 2016. PATH (Program for Assisting Transient and Homeless) has existed for over 20 years helping transients passing through the area, with immediate assistance. Some of the people working with PATH decided to also start helping local residents, which developed into KCAP. This program helps with emergencies and unexpected situations. KCAP provides assistance including food, prescriptions, utilities, gas, repairs, and other specific needs. All donations for this all volunteer program go directly to local people in need with no administration.
